The Milner Park

71 Juta Street, Braamfontein, 2000

One of the oldest surviving buildings in Braamfontein, the Milner Park was restored to its former glory back in 2011.  The building's design features harken to a time long gone, with its charming Broekie lace awnings and original wooden floors, as well as Kitchener's Cavery Bar (Johannesburg's second oldest bar) on the ground floor. Restoration of this development was in keeping with the urban regeneration that took place in the Braamfontein area of Johannesburg. The addition of Great Dane in the second part of the ground floor and with an array of creative commercial spaces on the first floor, life has ultimately been restored to this grand building.
